There are so many wonderful hardy varieties -- there should be some in every yard. Hardy roses are low maintenance. Many of the hardy roses have attractive orange fruit which hangs on all winter. Some even have colorful fall foliage. Whether your yard is newfangled or old-fashioned, find a place for the new and old varieties of hardy shrub roses.

Most of these hardy roses are grown on their own root, as opposed to being grafted. If they die back to the ground in the winter, what comes up from the root in the spring will be true.
