Common Name : Snapdragon
Latin Name : Antirrhinum majus Description : The sturdy snapdragon is an early bloomer in the annual garden. If the dead blooms are removed, the snaps can put on a second bloom near frost. Since snaps are hardy against light frosts, the second bloom can last well into the fall. Snapdragons can have a surprisingly heavy sweet scent, particularly the yellow, and make a fun cut flower. Be gentle with the transplants. Although snapdragons are tough as nails once established in the garden, they pout when they are disrupted or transplanted. |
